Top tips for best wooden wick candle use: 

Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each use, and remove any debris or burnt wood. Position the candle no a flat surface away from drafts, children, pets or flammable materials.

Allow the flame to travel across the wick when lighting and let the candle burn for 3-4 hours, or until the melted wax reaches the edges of the container. This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.

Never move a candle while the wax is still melted, let it cool completely before moving. Never leave a candle burning unattended and extinguish all candles before leaving a room or going to sleep.
